Perinatal Acupuncture in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

From trying to conceive through pregnancy and into the tender postpartum months, Traditional Chinese Medicine offers gentle, personalized support at every stage. Perinatal care is central to Alexandra’s practice, and treatment is always designed to complement your medical team, whether that is your OB, midwife, or fertility clinic.

Trying to conceive and fertility support

Whether you are just beginning or navigating a longer journey, we support cycle regularity and ovulation, egg and reproductive health in the months before trying, and care alongside IVF and IUI cycles, coordinated with your clinic’s calendar. We also work with conditions that can affect fertility, including PCOS and endometriosis, and help with the stress and sleep issues that so often come with this chapter.

Care continues through pregnancy, gently and safely, for morning sickness and hyperemesis, aches and pains, sleep, anxiety, and general wellbeing. We also offer moibustion for breech presentation, ideally between weeks 33 and 36, and labor preparation as your due date approaches. You can read more in our article on how moxibustion can help turn breech babies.

Pregnancy

The weeks after birth deserve real care. We support postpartum healing and energy, lactation, cesarean scar recovery, sleep, and mood, and we understand how hard it can be to get to an office with a newborn, which is why home visits are available. In Chinese medicine, this window is seen as a foundation for years of health to come.

Postpartum recovery

Every plan is personal, so neither of us will know the full cost of your care until after your initial exam, once I understand where you are and what you’re hoping for. Here’s how getting started works.

It begins with a free 15-minute phone consultation, our chance to talk through where you are and make sure Auro is the right fit. My focus is women’s health and perinatal care, and if what you need would be better served elsewhere, I’ll gladly help point you in the right direction.

If we’re a good match, the next step is an initial consultation and exam ($65, 30 minutes).
